The die-forging plant makes forgings of carbon, low alloy and stainless steels.
The forgings are made in regular and improved classes. The forgings can be heat treated, normalized and tempered. For nickel alloy forgings we perform solutioning and ageing in argon atmosphere.
The die-forging plant is equipped with:
- drop forging hammers of up to 5 T drop head weight
- MAXI-type power forging presses of up to 4000 T
- Gas and electric furnaces with automatic temperature control
- Ring mill
- Horizontal forging machine
Equipment is prepared for forgings production up to 20 kg weight for aviation, engine and machine-building industry applications.
Our forgings shop produces the following types of forgings:
- Gas turbine compressor components
- Turbine and compressor blades of up to 200mm length
- Combustion engine components, rocket, connecting-rods, camshafts, crankshafts up to 500 mm length
- Gear wheels up to 300 mm diameter
- Profiled rings up to 85 mm length and 450 mm diameter (using the rolling method)
The metallurgical laboratories carry out inspection of forgings mechanical properties as well as conduct metallographic tests per customer requirements.
